Project Goal
The project's goal is to enhance the current website by collecting information and feedback from users to understand the challenges they face while using the site.
By gathering insights directly from users, we aim to pinpoint areas of improvement and address any obstacles hindering a seamless user experience. Through this process, we can fine-tune the website to better cater to the needs and preferences of our valued students. By working collaboratively with our users, we strive to create a more user-friendly and efficient platform that enhances their overall online experience.

Problem
It is unlikely to not notice that Johannesburg Bible College has a diverse demographic. Students from different ethnicity through out Africa and different age groups. The reality is that all students interact with the website one way or the other. It is important to consider aspects of the user interface and how it impacts the experience of the user and paying special attention to the elderly among the students with possible visual impairments and most likely the lack of computer literacy.
Challenge 1
Welcome Page
It is important to consider the layout of information with the intention of communicating effectively. Parts of the challenge identified by the user on the website is color contrast between background and text. The color contrast ratio between the foreground and background should be high enough to be easily readable by most users, if not all.
Challenge 2
Website Transitions
Transitions of images and text as you move from one page to another are effective at communicating the cohesiveness of the entire website. Too many transitions can distort the focal point on the website page. Each page should be designed to draw the user’s attention to a particular section of information.
Pulsing movement of background image.
Random movement from angle and then changes from side to side as you interact with the site.
Challenge 3
Information clutter and repetition can occur when the website does not have clear focal points. The intention of any website is not just to communicate but to communicate effectively to the user and drive them to a particular objective.
The objective leads to thinking about the target audience, competitor analysis, and thoughts of future ventures.

Other Challenges
Random navigation bars all around the site and different backgrounds in one page.
No link to support page, page could be linked to vision 2050 page since it shares same objective.

Design Solution
The goal was to develop an inclusive design tailored to the institution's demographic. Incorporating JBC images to provide a unique touch to the website's appearance.
Brainstorming ideas to ensure the site was not only visually appealing but also accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities allows the creation of features like high-contrast text options, screen reader compatibility, and intuitive navigation were prioritized.
Feedback was gathered from diverse user groups within the institution, including students, faculty, and staff with varying needs and preferences. This collaborative approach ensured that the final design was reflective of the community's input and truly user-centric.
As the project progresses, the aim is to enclude interactive elements that could engage users more deeply. Virtual tours, and student testimonial videos to create a rich, immersive online experience.Ultimately, the objective is to craft a digital space where every visitor feels welcomed, informed, and inspired by the institution's commitment to inclusivity and innovation.

Welcome Page
Home Page
The welcome page design focuses on simplicity, allowing the information to be the main feature. Considering a significant portion of users are of age, the design emphasizes high contrast between the background and text colours to enhance readability and ensure ease of use. As a scholarly website, the emphasis should primarily be on presenting information clearly.

The goal was not to rebrand, but to enhance and refine the features of the original website. The design of this page maintained the primary colours of the original website while highlighting the information. The focus was on streamlining navigation and highlighting users' typical interests when visiting the site.

There was a significant emphasis on reaching out to the institution, which was a top priority for the stakeholders. The goal was to integrate this information after important pages. The design features a high contrast compared to the other pages, drawing inspiration from the original website.

Testimonials
My time at JBC has been really equipping and really encouraging in my life. Over the years I have grown to being a better reader of Gods word and a better handler of Gods word. I am now challenged daily in my life to be a growing Christian. A Christian who is growing in the Knowledge of God, in the Love for God and in Action. JBC has helped me to know God better and to find Joy in him! Amen.

Our Vision
The vision of JBC is to equip and inspire men and women for Bible teaching ministries. We believe the Bible is God’s word and when it is faithfully understood and taught God speaks to us.
Through classes and assignments, we enable students to ‘get it right’ (interpret and apply the Bible accurately) and ‘get it across’ (effectively communicate the Bible to people today).
We are an interdenominational college, serving many different churches, and our students come from a variety of ethnic, national, socio-economic and theological backgrounds.
JBC courses are recognized by the Association of Christian Religious Practitioners (ACRP) and accredited by the Quality Council for Trades & Occupations (QCTO) – SDP01190524-1661
